Yes, it’s time again to offer our periodic Readers Training/Script Analysis Class for Feature Films and Television. The purpose of this class is twofold: For you, the member or guest, it gives a solid grounding in script analysis – how to break down stories, characters, and dialogue, what to look for, and how to create constructive criticism. For the Network, it expands our pool of volunteer readers for our Hollywood Outreach Program (“HOP”), Television Outreach Program (“TOP”), and High Concept Screenplay Program (“HCSP”). So it’s a win-win situation!

The festival showcases contemporary films from the US, Canada, Latin America (North Central, South America, and the Caribbean) and the Iberian Peninsula. All films are presented in English and/or subtitled.

The script is the core of any project.
We want to enlight the raw talent of writing. Not everyone knows how to write. If in the wrong hands, a good script may end up as a flat movie, but a bad script never, ever is going to make a groundbreaking film.

With the Script and Storyboard Showcase, we reward ideas, talent, and structure.
If you got theses three winning factors, you have a good chance. Not only in this writing festival, but in the process of making a movie happen.

The Script and Storyboard Showcase select the best works we receive, then we showcase the selected artist during the event and reward the winners during the award ceremony in Los Angeles.

Our first edition took place on May 5, 2017, in the Echo Park Film Center, right on Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles. Then the festival turns trimestrial. Each 3-months edition will end with its finalists and winners, which will be notified by the end of the 3 months, and receive their certificate awards.

We also know how miserable an experience it can be to have your films shown in a sub-par location. Which is why we're a founding member of the Best of Film Fest family - five festivals coming together to present best-of screenings in a worthy venue.

The W.I.T.H.F.F is a nomadic movie festival. It is organised in collaboration with the local people that Marysol & Chris meet on their journey around the world. We promote local and international film directors. Thus, we select half local/half international films at our screenings. Moreover, we are interested in themes related to culture, ancestral traditions, first nations, environmental ethics, naturalistic observations, individual and collective wellbeing, inspiriting-uplifting stories/portraits and existential humanistic philosophy. We also set a space to “freely associate” and elaborate the themes set forth by the movies after the projections. The spectators are invited to vote for their favorite movie on our website after the screening. Finally, we do the best we can to provide free popcorn.

M.I.C.E. FESTIVAL
May 30th - June 1st 2018
The Melbourne International Cinema Extravaganza M.I.C.E. aims to be one of Melbourne's leading cinema extravaganza, raising awareness and celebrating these wonderful totem animals- Mice.

It will attract filmmakers from all around the world and celebrate their brilliant creations. With a strong focus on all the millions of life saving mice who sacrifice their lives to the research and study of terminal illnesses/cancer world wide.

It is a unique platform for new talent and a celebration of cinematic creativity, innovation and extravagance with artists new creations being judged right here in Melbourne City.

Films with a focus on terminal illness will be welcomed to help, educate, raise awareness, and bring hope to all the sufferers and families.
Art, Music and Film is a dynamic, healing way to help sufferers and their families as well as entertain all those who come along to this wonderful celebration.

A celebration that will engage, entertain, enlighten and bring together local and International films and give recognition to these wonderful, remarkable, brave little animals with a big, corageous heart.

“I came up with this film festival idea whilst at my screening of my first film in my trilogy, FATE-It is what it is! This was at the 2013 New York City Independent Film Festival, in Time Square. New York is filled with masses of people running in all directions- like mice! Very similar to Mice in cages of scientific research and health trials. These humans were like mice, all going somewhere, doing something and 95% of them chasing their own creation and creativity. And almost 50% having suffered or been scared with terminal illness at some point in their lives. I came back to Melbourne city and saw the same thing. We are all mice and these amazing totem animals of this festival have such a significance to our lives. They are life-saving!
I want this festival to begin to bring awareness just to how lucky we are to have mice in our life and celebrate their existence in a Melbourne International Cinema Extravaganza- MICE.
It was the beginnings of creating brilliance. Don't wait – Create! And we shall do just that with all the amazing courage of all of us working as a team of creative little mice, exhibiting dynamic, wonderful, International films and in turn celebrate the life-saving mice!”
R Lobosco.
Creator/Director of MICE Festival.
One of the judges in the 2016 MICE festival.
